A: The icons, starting from left to right are GPS indicator, Wi-Fi, Cell, Battery charge and Temperature.

-The Temperature icon indicates the ambient temperature.
Q: How do I get GPS?
A: In order to get the first initial GPS fix, your Explore Smart Collar will need a clear line of sight to the sky. This can be done by taking your collar outside or setting it by a window for about 5-10 minutes.
Note: Some obstructions such as trees and taller buildings can interfere with getting a GPS fix.
Q: How will I know if I have GPS?
A: If the indicator is empty, that means your collar does not have GPS. Only when the indicator is filled, will your collar have GPS.
Q: Do the humane corrections work effectively?
A: As with EVERY dog, Corrections must be a part of a training regimen. We use humane corrections in the form of vibrations, audible sound and ultrasonic. No shocking. Your dog will need to be trained with the corrections in order to teach them the change of behavior you expect.
Q: Does the correction hurt my dog?
A : No. The correction is a humane vibration similar to the vibration setting on your phone. The audible tone gets their attention and the ultrasonic tone, audible ONLY to your dog reinforces that attention.
Q: Why doesn’t my collar say it has GPS when my dog doesn’t move for a long period of time?
A: If your dog does not move for more than a minute, your Explore Smart Collar will go into Idle Mode. In order to conserve battery life, this collar goes into this mode when two conditions are met:
- The dog hasn’t moved for more than a minute
- The collar has gotten an initial GPS fix
Once your dog moves, the collar will wake up and update it’s GPS location.
Q: How frequently does the collar update its location?
A: Your Explore Smart Collar will update its location, as well as its current status, every minute. You will see this reflected in your Wagz app on the Dashboard.
